Historical data for backtesting and model development
Backtesting a betting model requires reliable historical odds — not just results. For racing, PuntersEdge keeps each bookmaker's opening price and the last price it showed before the off in a closing-line archive, with the price path in between. For sports, the odds history endpoints return each bookmaker's prices over time; they carry prices, not handicap or totals line values.
Use it to validate edge estimates, train machine learning models, score closing line value on racing bets and audit strategy performance. Historical sports odds and the closing-line archive start at Standard; a free key covers the live endpoints.
