Comparisons · The Odds API
The Odds API sells sports odds from bookmakers around the world, with an archive of snapshots going back to 2020. PuntersEdge sells Australian and New Zealand racing prices, keeps every bookmaker's closing price joined to the result, and carries Australian sports from fewer books. For sports alone, The Odds API is the better fit. It carries no racing. Plenty of developers need both, and this page says where each one fits.
The Odds API pages opened 6 October 2026; each figure links to the page it came from. PuntersEdge figures are measured from the live feed (6 Oct 2026 04:30 UTC), not typed.

Plenty of products do. An app that covers the NBA and the Melbourne Cup can take global sports from The Odds API and Australian racing from PuntersEdge under two keys, and the two barely overlap: The Odds API carries no racing, and our sports coverage is a handful of Australian books.
The shapes are close enough for one adapter: an API key in a header, JSON events, and a price per bookmaker. If you already pay for The Odds API, the free tier here is enough to build the racing half before you pay for it.
One request with a free key returns the next race with every served book's price per runner. The sandbox link above answers the same question without a key.

No. Its sports list carries no horse, harness or greyhound racing (checked 6 October 2026). PuntersEdge covers Australian thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing, and New Zealand thoroughbred and harness.
For racing, only one of them sells it. For sports at volume, The Odds API, whose US$119 plan carries 5,000,000 credits (their pricing page). The two charge differently per call, so price the calls you will actually make.
